Aspyr Media Inc. On Monday announced plans to publish a Macintosh conversion of, an expansion pack for the real-time strategy game. Licensed by Electronic Arts, the conversion is currently underway at i5works, a third party Mac game conversion developer frequently used by Aspyr. C&C Generals Zero Hour is the first expansion pack for Command & Conquer Generals, and it adds more powerful enemies, a new array of weapons and new scenarios, demanding new strategies and tactics as well. 30 new units and 20 new upgrades have been added with this release, and a new Generals Challenge mode pits you against 9 enemy AI-controlled generals. 15 new missions have been added, and new weather effects also add to the challenge.
25 new multiplayer maps have been added too. The full version of Command & Conquer Generals is required to play Zero Hour; other system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 1.6GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and DVD drive.
